The tragedy that struck Pulse Nightclub in Orlando last Saturday has rocked the core of queer & trans people of color communities.
In a show of solidarity and to raise funds for the families of the victims – some of New York City’s QTPOC deejays (including members Ushka and Riobamba of Dutty Artz) who foster queer spaces have organized this event and will deejay sets to honor the Latinx and Black queer family who have passed in Orlando.
On May 27th, Raymondstock and Riobamba’s new events/booking platform APOCALIPSIS present LIMBO, a two-floor #reggaetónrave that’s a signal boost to radical futures in Latinx urbano soundscapes. Hosted at Trans-Pecos, LIMBO welcomes the New York City debut of Chilena reina emcee Tomasa del Real.
The Talacha curated May 28th party is the result of chats with Trans-Pecos’ curator Sam(ZS) about the idea of bringing the spirit of sonidero events to the Ridgewood club.
Friday March 18th, Atropolis and Riobamba will be playing at Hotel Vegas Annex at SXSW thanks to the Peligrosa. Atropolis live set is at 10pm on the outdoor stage and Riobamba set is at 11:30 PM on the indoor stage.

Dutty Artz has always been into multisensory experiences, especially ones that help us link across and through borders, making conscious links across the globe and celebrating flavors that don’t get enough love. A few years back at Beyond the Block in Sunset Park, we made sure food trucks with Chinese and Mexican food kept people fed. This month we bring it in-house with BRUNCH GOZÓN, the first of a series of daytime (into early evening) music-and-food experiences, kicking off Sunday, August 30th from 12pm-7pm at TBA Brooklyn (395 Wythe Ave on the corner of South 6th Street).
