Day 2 – Sunday December 30, 2012
11:30 AM – Hot lemon water
1:45PM – Juice 1: Greens – Kale, Spinach, Celery, Cucumber, Apple, Parsley, Lemon, Mustard Greens, Ginger
I probably put more apples than I should have to cut the celery/etc but it tastes good. I added a lil bit of mustard greens this time. Saw them in the market yesterday, heard them shits was good for you, so I figured why not. Not hungry at all. Though I saw a picture of massaman curry on instagram earlier that made me want that shit. I learned to do some simple pea masala a couple weeks back. I’ma find a recipe for veggie massaman after this shit. Word.
3:45PM – Juice 2: Pineapple, Apple, Orange
Good, but not as good as yesterday. I didn’t have as much pineapple as I did then (I used more than half a whole pineapple yesterday and the rest just now). I have two pineapples sitting on my counter and both are at least three days out from being ready, so I guess I gotta find a ripe pineapple before tomorrow afternoon.
5:25PM – Juice 3: Greens – Kale, Spinach, Celery, Cucumber, Apple, Parsley, Lemon, Mustard Greens, Ginger
Feel alert/focused. Tastes good. But a conversation w/ a friend earlier inspired me to try adding a couple kiwis to the green juice I’ll make later or tomorrow.
7PM – Juice 4: Spicy Lemonade
Sticking w/ maple syrup instead of agave. Feel good/energized. Watched some more Rubicon and did some writing. Not really missing food at all. Except massaman maybe. I could fux with some veggie massaman. But I’ll be aight.
10PM – Juice 5: Greens – Kale, Spinach, Celery, Cucumber, Apple, Parsley, Lemon, Mustard Greens, Ginger, Kiwi
I been on a hot streak and that shit has promptly come to an end yo. I fucked up my proportions on this one (I now see why mustard greens are called that). I added kiwis this time, but too much of the mustard greens and celery overwhelmed the shit. I threw in an extra extra apple to try and cut the jawn and the more bitter elements in the juiceage still ain’t havin it. Lesson learned. That cashew milk can’t come soon enough.
12:30AM – Juice 6: Cashew Milk
Bangin. I wasn’t even “hungry” prior to making it but did it just to complete the days regimen. Fairly certain I’m going to be making this shit weekly, juice cleanse or no juice cleanse. I just wish cashews weren’t so dang expensive.
