RIOBAMBA PRESENTS LIMBO TWO-FLOOR TAKEOVER AT TRANS-PECOS

On May 27th, Raymondstock and Riobamba’s new events/booking platform APOCALIPSIS present LIMBO, a two-floor #reggaetónrave that’s a signal boost to radical futures in Latinx urbano soundscapes. Hosted at Trans-Pecos, LIMBO welcomes the New York City debut of Chilena reina emcee Tomasa del Real.

Leading the Internet-powered reggaetón 2.0 wave, Tomasa del Real arrives to Brooklyn after the recent release of her Bien y Mal full-length album. Tomasa delivers a futuristic take on dembow riddim meditations that teeter between Fruity Loop-inspired beats of reggaetón’s earliest days and grimey, Dropbox-facilitated experiments with collaborators La Mafia del Amor (PXXR GANG, Spain), Paul Marmota and Lao (NAAFI, México), and Deltatron (Terror Negro Records, Perú).

Tomasa will be supported by RIOBAMBA, BEARCAT (Discwoman), DEBIT (HX HD), and FREEBA$$ (Fuete Billete, Puerto Rico). The basement will be hosted by Papi Juice, a Brooklyn-based dance party celebrating queer and trans people of color and the folk who love them, with sets by residents Oscar Nñ and Adam R., and special guest Ariel Zetina visiting from Chicago.

LIMBO will also feature a special edition bilingual zine from The Dance Pit’s Club Etiquette, an ongoing series reflecting on how to be a conscious club-goer.
