Que Bajo featuring Quantic

It’s going to be a long hot summer in NYC and Que Bajo has both the soundtrack and the parties that you’ll make you feel extra WEPA!

Update: Unfortunately due to visa issues Dengue Dengue Dengue had to cancel their trip to the US and won’t be making it to Que Bajo this Friday. But we are super lucky to be able to call on one of most important producers in the world of new cumbia and afro latin roots music, Quantic.

Whether as a DJ, with the Quantic Soul Orchestra or as the man behind the Colombian super group Ondatropica, the British born Quantic brings his deep knowledge of tropical music from his years spent digging for records in colombia, along with a great musicianship that marries these roots influences to electronic music.

This month for Que Bajo at The Wick, Geko Jones and Uproot Andy invite guests DENGUE DENGUE DENGUE all the way from Peru, the land of blacklight cumbia and Ayahuasca. The audio-visual collective is on tour in the states and serving their special blend to the Que Bajo massive. Also appearing is 2melo, part of Cumba Mela and Junxion NYC, the collective that hosts the Choose Your Own Adventure parties, a roving rave on three buses that do pop ups around New York City.

Tickets are 10-15 bucks in advance so we encourage you to buy early. RSVP on Facebook.
