BROKEN TEEF (AGAIN)

Check me out in Manhattan tomorrow! This is the party that had to be rescheduled from last month due to the venue being sold (weird, I know).

BROKENTEETH at The Studio at Websterhall – SPECIAL EVENT!!

A Wednesday Night Affair
Wednesday May 6th, 2009

So, we have changed our LOCATION and have decided to bring you guys SPECIAL WEDNESDAY NIGHT one offs. This Month we have Matt Shadetek DUTTY ARTZ and Joee Irwin pf PALMS OUT!!

The night is to push fun, music and drinks. Special Guest are encouraged to play rare vinyl or tunes that they usually don’t play out. These DJs grind it out on tour and play for the crowd, but Brokenteeth is about playing the music they really love and rarely get to play. It is a Wednesday night affair.

~~SPECIAL GUESTS:~~
Matt Shadetek of Dutty Artz

I am very proud to bring Matt on this week. Matt Shadetek has been making beats since the year 2000, making a name for himself as half of Team Shadetek releasing records on seminal British electronic label Warp Records, Tigerbeat6, Jahmek The World, and Sound-Ink. Focusing on dancehall reggae, grime, dubstep and lately what he calls “dutty house” his underground hit “Brooklyn Anthem” spawned a YouTube dance craze among Brooklyn’s teen dancehall dancers who call it the “Craziest Riddim”. Some of you might know it as THE FIRST Grime tune to come out of America. He is currently working with the Dutty Artz family which he co-founded with DJ /Rupture on an album with Jahdan Blakkamoore called “Buzzrock Warrior” along with a solo instrumental release.

Joe Irwin of Palms Out Blog

Joee Irwin was exposed him to the midwest rave scene in the 90’s in a place where the DJs played Italo Disco. Joee fell full tilt into the world of electronic music. The soundtracks of those early underground parties have stuck with him. He’s zig-zaged the United States and always found himself at the forefront of the music scenes he’s come across. An accomplished DJ who has shared the stage with rosters of top tier acts all over the country and a music blogger who writes for the widely-read Palms Out Sounds. Joee recently transplanted from Portland, Oregon to Brooklyn, New York. His mix, Decks Box & MBP, which he describes as his interpretation of the journey that brought him to New York, takes listeners on a journey from techno to dubstep was released to rave reviews by the blogosphere.
