Man, I know I've said it before but I just love David Banner. He just brings this sincerity and heart to his music that so many people don't. And he's not afraid to express all the contradictions of being a person, conscious, ignorant, violent, spiritual all on the same record or even in the same song. I feel like this is something hiphop artists and fans need to recognize someday, that being human means expressing different things in different moments, aspiring, despairing, stepping forward, falling back, everything. How can we who are human and deeply flawed and complicated ourselves deny our artists that right?
